Single Mothers Project
Single Black mothers face a number of unique challenges and struggles, many of which are related to systemic racism, poverty, lack of education or support. Challanges such as economic insecurity, quality food access, lack of access to affordable childcare, discrimination in the workplace, health disparities, criminalization and incarceration, and lack of social support. This leads to unnecessary suffering of our women and children.
This project of the Humanistic Temple of Alkebulan church promotes the following virtues of the Temple Code:
#7 Charity - I will be generous and helpful especially toward the needy or suffering.
#13 Diligence - I will be steady, earnest, and give energetic effort in my work and duties.
#14 Wisdom - I will think and act using knowledge, experience, understanding, common sense and insight.

#16 Courage - I will exercise mental or moral strength to venture, persevere, and withstand danger, fear, or difficulty during pain or times of adversity.

#19 Perseverance - I will be persistent in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success.
#20 Compassion - I will have sympathy and concern for the sufferings or misfortunes of all living beings.
The mission of the Humanistic Temple of Alkebulan church is to help provide single mothers with the necessary life skills such as farming, childcare, health and wellness, cooking, disease prevention and control, childcare, to not only survive and provide their children but to thrive in society. The first program will begin in Uganda in East Africa. We need to purchase land, structure and necessary supplies and tools to implement the program.
